Free Museum Days in LA the first week of November

via LACMA.org
With the first week of November already upon us, mark your calendars for Free First Tuesdays and Thursdays or plan ahead for December. This week, Kidspace Children's Museum is free from 4:00 - close (Free Family Night first Tuesday of the month) on November 3rd. Also free on November 3rd is the Natural History Museum and Page Museum at La Brea Tarpits (First Tuesdays of the month). On Thursday, the 5th, the Huntington Library is free (first Thursday of the month) for those who reserved their advance passes, and both the Japanese American National Museum and MOCA Grand and MOCA Geffen are free in the evening and the MOCA Pacific Design Center is always free! The Skirball Cultural Center is always free on Thursdays and if you haven't checked out their Noah's Ark, it's a real treat!

For the weekend, the Pasadena Museum of California Art is free from noon until 5 (First Fridays), and the Norton Simon Museum is free from 5pm to close on Friday the 6th (also First Fridays). And on Sunday the 8th, you've got the Craft and Folk Art Museum (Pay What You Can Sundays) and Museum of Latin American Art (free Sundays) and Pacific Asia Museum (Second Sunday of the month).  And The Getty is always free as are its views of greater Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean.

For a more comprehensive list, the fine folks at welikela.com put together a nifty list of Free Museum Days for the month of November with links to each museum.
