Noon Year's Eve at the Discovery Cube LA & OC

Celebrate the New Year at noon instead of midnight and enjoy hands-on activities to get everyone in the spirit of the New Year. For Discovery Cube OC, you can celebrate December 30 or December 31st, from 10a.m. to 4p.m. 

Guests are invited to wear their favorite superhero costume and celebrate the New Year at noon. Party while the sun is still up and take part in learning stations themed around the New Year.

Activities include:
  • Confetti Blast Countdown Celebration – Countdown begins every hour
  • Dance Party – Live music all day
  • Superhero Photos – Take superhero green screen photos
  • Hollywood Stage – Add your own sound effects to a Hollywood movie
  • Animation Station – Make your own superhero animation movie
  • Storyboarding – Draw your own action scene storyboard
  • Hats and Horns – Guests will be given hats and horns to celebrate
  • Ginger Ale or Apple Juice Toast – at 12 p.m.
For Discover Cube LA, come celebrate on December 31st from 10a.m. to 4p.m. with a Balloon Drop at noon.

Activities Include:
  • Balloon Drop Countdown Celebration at 12 p.m.
  • Sparkling cider toast –  at 12 p.m.
  • Time Zone Station – Guests learn about different time zones around the world
  • Tambourines – Create a tambourine with paper plates and beans to learn about sound
  • Alka Seltzer Rocket – Witness a chemical reaction and watch gas expand, causing a canister to pop and fly in the air
