ONCE at Segerstrom Center for the Arts

ONCE, the story of a Dublin street musician on the verge of giving up on his musical dream when he meets a beautiful young woman who inspires him once again, will play at Segerstrom Center for the Arts for a limited engagement starting from today, August 19th, through August 31st, 2014. ONCE won eight Tony Awards® including Best Musical and was the winner of the 2013 Grammy® Award for Best Musical Theater Album.

In addition to the actors playing their own instruments on stage, as part of the interactive experience, audiences are invited to participate in free activities including writing and sharing their personal stories on how they met their friends, partners and fellow ticketholders through the prompt, “How did you meet? The stories will be written on ONCE branded coasters that will be displayed on the Orchestra Level lobby.

Audiences will also be treated to a welcome  by folk-style musician Scott Brazee of S.S. Odyssey as he performs original songs near the Segerstrom Hall Box Office on select performances beginning an hour before show time.

Photos of your experience and selfies are encouraged with the hashtag #OnceMusicalOC. You can purchase tickets here.  It's a great choice for a date night but kids ages 8 and up would enjoy the show as well.
